A woman in Delhi has been arrested for killing her husband because she was unhappy with their physical relationship, police said on Thursday. The case came to light on July 20, around 4:15 pm, when the Nihal Vihar Police received a call from a local hospital. The woman had brought her husband, Mohammad Shahid, to the hospital with serious stab wounds, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. She claimed that her husband had stabbed himself.
However, after checking the post-mortem report, police found that the wounds were not self-inflicted. The marks clearly showed he had been attacked from the front. Suspecting foul play, police began an investigation and filed a case of murder. While checking the woman’s mobile phone, police found a shocking internet search history. She had searched how to delete chats and looked up poisonous substances like aluminium phosphide (known as salphos) and how dangerous they are.
When questioned, the woman confessed that she had killed her husband. She said she was not happy in their physical relationship and decided to take this step. She stabbed him three times in the chest and later took him to the hospital, pretending he had killed himself.
Police have recovered the knife used in the murder. They are now trying to find out who the woman was chatting with and whether someone helped or influenced her. She is currently in police custody, and investigations are ongoing to understand the full story behind the crime.
