The Telangana Excise Special Task Force (STF) has uncovered a drug trafficking setup being run from the rented home of a post-graduate doctor in Hyderabad. The raid was carried out at the residence of John Paul in Musheerabad, where officials seized different high-value narcotic substances worth around ₹3 lakh.
Paul has been arrested, while his three alleged associates are currently missing.
According to STF officials, Paul was a drug user who began selling drugs to support his addiction. He reportedly teamed up with three friends, Pramod, Sandeep, and Sharath (also known as Saratulu), who used his house as a safe location to stock and distribute drugs.
Investigators said the house was not just a storage spot, but the main distribution point for the group.
The three associates were responsible for procuring drugs from major cities like Delhi and Bengaluru.
The narcotics were then delivered to Paul, who stored them and sold them to customers in Hyderabad.
In return, Paul was allowed to consume the drugs for free, officials said.
During the raid, STF officials recovered:
| Drug Name | Quantity |
|---|---|
| OG Kush (high-grade marijuana) | 26.95 grams |
| MDMA | 6.21 grams |
| LSD stamps | 15 |
| Cocaine | 1.32 grams |
| Gummus (intoxicant) | 5.80 grams |
| Hashish Oil | 0.008 grams |
Officials said they were surprised by the variety of substances found inside the doctor’s home.
While John Paul is now in custody, the STF is working to track down Pramod, Sandeep, and Sharath, who they say played key roles in sourcing and supplying the drugs.
The investigation is still ongoing.
