Jaipur police have arrested a man who repeatedly raped his two young daughters over several years. The horrific abuse came to light when the girl's mother, despite initially staying silent due to social stigma, took her daughters to the doctor for ongoing abdominal pain. The doctor's examination revealed that the girls had been sexually abused. The hospital then alerted a local NGO about the suspected abuse, according to DCP West Amit Kumar Budania.
During counselling sessions, the mother admitted she had seen her husband abusing their daughters many times but was too afraid of societal backlash to report him. The girls, who seemed withdrawn at school, frequently complained of stomach pain, which eventually prompted their mother to seek medical help.
Chitrakoot Police Station Officer Antim Sharma spoke privately with the victims and their mother, recording their statements discreetly. Even though the mother was scared to file a police report due to fear of her husband and social judgment, the NGO's report and the counselling findings allowed the police to register a case at Sadar police station.
The statements from the victims and their mother were presented to a magistrate, and a medical board was formed to examine the girls. The medical report confirmed the abuse, leading to the father's arrest. Investigations showed that the father had been committing these terrible acts for years, threatening his wife to keep her silent.
