A violent case has come out from Chakmehsi in Samastipur district, Bihar in which a woman has been detained for murdering her three little kids after a family fight, the police verified on Monday.
Seema Devi, 36, had an argument with her husband Chandan Mahattha before making the extreme decision. In a rage, she is said to have attacked their children—Tarun (6), Tanya (4), and Tanishq (2)—and then tossed them into a well outside their home.
To mislead her husband, Seema Devi then informed him that the children were missing. Upset, Mahattha immediately reported the children missing to the police, which led to an instant search operation.
When officers arrived at Chandan’s house, they found bloodstains on a blanket, increasing their suspicion of foul play. As a result, both parents were taken into custody for questioning. Following the interrogation, the bodies of all three children were recovered from a well in the village.
SP Ashok Mishra called in the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team along with a dog squad to the crime scene. The investigation showed that after the fight with her husband, Seema Devi killed her three children around 1 AM and disposed of their bodies in the well.
The incident has sent the local community into shock, with investigations continuing to show more about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
