A social media influencer based in Florida, Logan Guminski, has been apprehended on suspicion of engaging in gruesome acts with her pet chihuahua and uploading the videos on social media.

The authorities received an anonymous complaint in January that Guminski, 27, of Ocala in Marion County had posted an indecent video on Instagram to her 15,000 followers. The video gained traction in no time, and the Marion County Sheriff's Office was prompted to launch an inquiry.

Arrest and charges

After the investigation, police found several images and videos of the abuse. Guminski confessed that she had been paid $500 by a social media commenter in return for additional such videos. Guminski was arrested and charged with two charges—engaging in sex with an animal and recording the act.

In a Facebook update by the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Guminski was photographed grim-faced in handcuffs as she was brought into custody.

In the post, Guminski is shown walking from a squad car to the police station in handcuffs. She appeared somber as she entered, dressed in pink sweatpants and a gray hoodie with "Chicago" written on it.

Guminski was released on a $10,000 bond on March 22. She will appear in court on April 22 to answer the charges.
