Burger Chachu sets world record by preparing 112-kg gold leaf vegetable burger
Sharandeep has been working on creating the "biggest one" in burgers and sandwiches for the past seven years.
Sharandeep Singh, also known as ‘Burger Chachu‘, collaborated with the team at Hotel Grand Mercure in Agra to create a giant 112 kg gold leaf vegetable burger, which they claim is the world’s largest burger. “Our efforts were certified by a prominent NGO- World Records India on Tuesday,” said Vivek Mahajan, general manager of Grand Mercure.
According to Sharandeep Singh, the owner of the “Six10 Burger” restaurant in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, the enormous burger was created with 20 kg of millets buns, 6 kg of french fries, 5 kg of tomatoes, 5 kg of cucumber, 5 kg of wadges, 12 kg of various mayos and sauces, 10 kg of paneer, 8 kg of coleslaw, 4 kg of bell papers, 5 kg of onion, 10 kg of potato patties, 5 kg of lettuce, 9 kgs of tin food, 4 kg of masala, and other ingredients.

Speaking more about it, Sharandeep stated that for the previous seven years, he has been attempting to create the “biggest one” in burgers and sandwiches. During 2017 In 2017, he began his “passion to make it large” with a 7-kg burger. That same year, he made a 6-kg sandwich, a 15-kg burger in 2018, and a 20-kg burger in 2019. Additionally, he prepared a 25-kg burger for cricket legend Harbhajan Singh. He created a 45-kg vegetable burger at his Hoshiarpur location in December 2022.
“Following PM Narendra Modi‘s initiative to promote millets, we prepared buns using flour of jowar, bajra and ragi and other coarse grains to prepare buns for the burger,” Sharandeep stated.
“The curation of World’s Biggest Gold Leaf Burger, weighing over a quintal, rich in millets and loaded with fresh vegetables, is a testament to the importance of preserving our culinary traditions while embracing innovation and creativity. Following its creation, we had the pleasure of serving the burger to 200+ delighted kids, aiming to demonstrate how western-style food can also be enjoyed in a healthier and more nutritious manner,” stated Vivek Mahajan
The executive chef of Grand Mercure, Pramod Kumar, explained that Singh was invited from Punjab to cook this enormous feast, and that preparations began a few days ago.
