United States President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday announced that he plans to end the country’s ‘Birthright Citizenship’ which is included in the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. This would stop children born in the U.S. to undocumented parents from automatically getting citizenship.

During an interview with CNBC, Trump said he wants to deport all immigrants who entered the U.S. illegally during his four-year term.Trump also mentioned that he was willing to work with Democrats to find a solution that would protect Dreamers (undocumented immigrants) who were brought to the U.S. as children and allow them to stay in the country.

He also clarified that he did not plan to restrict access to abortion pills. Earlier in his presidential campaign, Trump had praised the U.S. Supreme Court for overturning the Roe v. Wade decision in 2022.The three conservative justices appointed by Trump during his first term had voted to end the nationwide right to abortion.
