On April 22, 2025, a shocking terror attack happened in Baisaran Valley, a tourist spot near Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir. Around 2:30 PM, armed men wearing camouflage clothes began shooting at tourists in the meadow.

According to sources, 26 people were killed, including two foreigners and two locals. This has been described as one of the deadliest attacks in the area in recent years.

The group called The Resistance Front (TRF) claimed they were behind the attack. TRF is said to be linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba, a banned terrorist organisation.

After the attack, several posts appeared on X (formerly Twitter) claiming that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) had moved planes near the Indian border.

The posts, reported by India Today, showed screenshots from a website called Flightradar24, which lets people track flights. These screenshots appeared to show two aircraft flying from Karachi to northern Pakistan, near cities like Lahore and Rawalpindi, where the PAF has major bases.

The two flights that were mentioned:

PAF198 – a Lockheed C-130E Hercules, which is a big transport plane.
PAF101 – a small Embraer Phenom 100 jet, often used for VIPs or surveillance.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation from Pakistan about any military movement. The flight paths shown may just be regular activity.

The India Today report reminds readers of how, after the 2019 Pulwama attack, India had carried out air strikes in Balakot — a terrorist training camp in Pakistan.

Authorities in both countries have not made any new statements, and officials are still investigating the terror attack in Pahalgam.

The attack has shaken people across India, especially those planning to visit Kashmir for the Amarnath Yatra, which is supposed to start soon.
