An incident from California is gaining significant attention on the internet, where a female state senator is sued by her former chief of staff over sex slavery. The accused, Marie Alvarado-Gil, faced a lawsuit by her former ally, Chad Condit, who alleged that her boss forced him into several sexual acts that left him with back and hip injuries.
He further claimed that his superior officer forced him into a “sex-based quid pro quo relationship”. According to the lawsuit filed in the Sacramento Superior Court, the senator demanded sex while they were travelling for work. The married Condit asserted that he was forced to do the sexual activity unwillingly to save his job.
Condit, who is a former Democratic Congressman's son, further claimed that he was injured while having oral sex with his boss, in the lawsuit, he mentioned that during the process, he suffered a back injury. He reportedly suffered a collapsed hip and three herniated discs.
What is claimed in the lawsuit
As per Condits claims in the lawsuit, "They were driving together and they pulled over to go to the restroom. When he came back to the car, she had her pants pulled down and said: 'I want you to kiss it and prove your loyalty'." Condit then mentioned that he had to "twist and contort his body in the confined space of the car" which resulted in his injured back.
The former chief of staff said that he then used his back injury as an excuse to refuse the further sexual demands of the senator in August last year. As a result of his excuse, a disciplinary letter was issued against him for inappropriate behaviour.
Condit mentioned in the lawsuit that his repeated refusal of sex advances cost him his job, as the senator fired him in December, while he was undergoing back surgery. “This was a sex-based quid pro quo relationship of unwelcome advances and sexual behaviours coupled with punishment and flexing of power,” the suit highlighted.
Senator's response to the allegations
Alvardo-Gil’s attorney, Ognian Gavrilov, dismissed all the allegations against her claiming there is no evidence for the acquisitions by the former aide.
While talking to The New York Post Gavrilov said, “A disgruntled former employee has fabricated an outlandish story, presented without evidence, to get a payday.” “We expect that the senator will be fully cleared of any wrongdoing of these bogus, financially motivated claims," he added.
