A gunman opened fire on students attending a church service at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on Wednesday, killing two children. Authorities identified the shooter as 23-year-old Robin Westman, who was later found dead in the school parking lot, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot.

Westman fired dozens of rounds using a rifle, a shotgun, and a pistol, officials said.

Videos on Westman’s now-deleted YouTube channel, “Robin W,” showed messages written on the guns and magazines, including “kill Donald Trump,” “nuke India,” “Israel must fall,” and “Burn Israel.” Other writings included “Where is your God?” and “For the children,” and some magazines had the names of previous school shooters. A few messages were in Cyrillic script.

One video, about 10 minutes long, also showed weapons, ammunition, and a letter to Westman’s family apologizing for the attack. Another video, nearly 20 minutes, featured two journals, one over 150 pages and another over 60, written entirely in Cyrillic.

Court records show Westman legally changed their name from Robert to Robin in 2020 after identifying as female. Officials said Westman had legally bought the guns, had no criminal record, and acted alone.

President Donald Trump ordered US flags to be flown at half-staff in mourning. This shooting marks the 146th school shooting in the US so far this year.
