In a recent survey conducted by Gallup poll, US President Joe Biden has been labeled as the least popular president in the past 70 years. With a job approval rating of only 38.7%, Biden's ranking falls significantly below that of previous presidents like Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump secured a 46.8% job approval rating in the same poll.

Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter earned approval ratings of 53.7% and 47.7% respectively during their presidencies. However, it was Dwight Eisenhower, who held office in the 1950s, that remains the most popular president in recent history with an impressive 73.2% approval rating.

Historically, incumbents with over 50% approval ratings have often secured reelection. However, Barack Obama's successful reelection in 2012, despite a 46% approval rating before the elections, stands as an exception to this trend.

Donald Trump's presidency is viewed favorably by many compared to Biden's. The poll indicates that Trump received a 46.8% job approval rating, surpassing Biden's rating.

Speculation arises over Biden's chances of returning as US President in 2024. According to reports from the New York Post, no first-term president with such low approval ratings as Biden's has managed to secure reelection.

Biden's presidency has been marked by challenges, including rising inflation, a border crisis, and the aftermath of the Afghanistan pullout. Additionally, concerns about his advancing age raise questions about his effectiveness as a leader. The Gallup poll also highlights that Biden's job approval has not shown improvement in recent quarters.

The survey gathered responses from 1,001 Americans between April 1 and April 22, providing insight into public sentiment regarding the current administration.
