The ongoing war between Israel and Iran has entered its sixth day and is now becoming even more dangerous. Both countries are continuing to attack each other with missiles. For the first time during this conflict, Iran has used a powerful hypersonic missile known as Fattah-1. According to a report by the BBC, this missile was fired by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) at Israel early on Wednesday.

Fattah-1 missile hits Israel, explosions in Tel Aviv

Iran fired two missile barrages at Israel in the early morning hours. Several explosions were reported in Tel Aviv. The IRGC claimed it used the Fattah-1 missile, calling it the “Israel-striker”. This is the same missile Iran showcased in 2023 with a banner reading “400 seconds to Tel Aviv”, referring to its fast speed.

In response, the Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes on Iran, especially in areas near the capital, Tehran. People in Tehran’s District 18 were told to evacuate before the Israeli strikes began. Iranian media also confirmed explosions in Karaj and near the Khojir missile production facility.

The back-and-forth missile strikes show how serious the conflict has become. Iran has already fired hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel over the last few days.

Trump issues strong warnings, holds security meeting

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has taken a bold stance in support of Israel. According to reports by Axios and other US media, Trump held a 90-minute meeting with the National Security Council to discuss possible actions. A White House official confirmed the meeting. Right now, US forces are in a defensive mode, but more fighter jets have been sent to the Middle East.

Trump also spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday. After the call, Trump posted several strong messages on Truth Social, saying the US knows where Iran’s top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is hiding. He added:
“We are not going to take him out (kill!) — at least not for now.”
He also warned, “Our patience is wearing thin,” and demanded Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”

This has increased fears that the United States may directly join Israel’s military campaign.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei responded with a fiery message:
“The battle begins. Ali returns to Khaybar.”
He also wrote, “We must give a strong response to the terrorist Zionist regime. We will show the Zionists no mercy.”

At the same time, Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s last king and now a political opponent living abroad, claimed that the Islamic Republic is collapsing and that Khamenei has gone into hiding underground.

With more weapons being used and strong words from world leaders, the situation remains extremely tense.
