Foreign Minister Israel Katz stated on Tuesday that Israel and India will continue to deepen their bilateral ties, leading to greater prosperity.

Responding to a message from India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, on the occasion of Israel’s 76th Independence Day, Mr. Katz highlighted the course of collaboration between the two countries.
“Thank you for the warm wishes, FM @DrSJaishankar. In celebration of our Independence Day, Israel and India will continue to deepen our ties and lead to greater prosperity,” Mr. Katz posted on X.

Earlier that day, Mr. Jaishankar took to social media to share a captivating 2-minute, 3-second video showcasing the essence of the India-Israel relationship. Through photographs, showcasing various bilateral meetings between Prime Minister Narendra Modi, himself, and other Indian ministers with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other officials.

Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her warm wishes to her Israeli counterpart, Isaac Herzog. In a message shared on social media, President Murmu “I join the people of India in conveying our best wishes to President @Isaac_Herzog, and the people of Israel on the 76th anniversary of Israel’s independence.”

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla reached out to his counterpart, Amir Ohana, the Speaker of The Knesset, through the same social media platform; : “On the occasion of Israel’s 76th anniversary of independence, I congratulate Speaker of the Knesset @AmirOhana and the people of Israel.”. Both President Murmu and Mr. Birla extended their greetings in Hebrew, symbolising the cultural bridge that binds the two nations.

“Thank you, my dear friend @ombirlakota. May the friendship between our nations grow stronger,” Mr. Ohana replied to Mr. Birla and also added a line in Devnagari script in Hindi, loosely translated as, “Thank you my dear friend Om Birla. May the friendship between our countries be stronger.”
