With the introduction of an 11-minute and 50-second virtual reality darshan by the temple management, devotees can now receive a "virtual" darshan of Baba Kashi Vishwanath. This enables devotees to receive darshan without having to wait in huge lines in the intense heat.
According to the temple administration, the service is being offered temporarily and will be permanently implemented based on the input from the devotees.
Chief executive officer of Kashi Vishwanath temple Vishwa Bhushan Mishra discussed the new project, saying, "3D virtual reality is a novel technique that has been adopted in different temples such Mata Vaishno Devi temple and Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust was contacted by the business that supplies 3D technology to those temples regarding the same.
“Between May 5 and June 4, a total of 363 of our employees and priests watched the movie. They gave positive feedback about the show. Thereafter, it was made available for devotees, and from June 4 to June 30, a total of 282 devotees watched the movie. If the devotees like it, then it will be implemented based on mutually beneficial terms and conditions,” he added.
With the help of this programme, worshippers at "Durlabh Darshan Kendra" can take part in the five-part aarti in just 11 minutes and 50 seconds and see uncommon sightings of the god.

TechXR Innovations Pvt Ltd's Role

The VR service provider, TechXR Innovations Pvt Ltd, has twelve virtual reality devices in use for the experiment, according to Harshit Shrivastava, head of production at the company. 250 followers often have virtual darshan from Baba Kashi Vishwanath each day.
