In light of the recent tech launches, the Japanese electronic giant Sony has unveiled its most anticipated gaming console, PS5 Pro. The news has pumped up the whole gaming industry as this model is dubbed as the most powerful gaming console by Sony. Priced at $699.90, the new model is an upgrade to the pre-loved PS5 console. The sales of the new product will go live from November 7th in selected markets. The company has not disclosed its plans for the Indian market yet.

The PS5 Pro comes with a 40% price hike compared to the PS5. The expensive gaming powerpiece is backed by AI to create more sharper and real-life imagining. Sony is calling it the "PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution." The power-packed device, however, lacks a Blu-ray disc drive.

Sony has been working on this model based on the user's feedback who wanted a better, more powerful console. As an upgrade to the PS5, this model offers smoother gameplay, enhanced performance and better graphics to provide a realistic experience to the players.

Mark Cerny, Sony’s lead PlayStation system architect, said, "It's the most powerful console we’ve ever built.” The PS5 Pro is 45 per cent faster at graphics rendering than the previous PS5 model.

PS5 Pro comes with a new AMD GPU with 67 per cent more compute units and 28 per cent faster memory. It is expected to boost image clarity backed by the AI boost. The gaming console also packs a new “Game Boost” technology, which makes it backwards compatible, allowing the users to play over 8,500 pre-loved games designed for PS4.

Following some major hardware upgrades and AI-backing, users can expect enhanced performance from the new console, which means games like The Last of Us Part II, will smoothly run at 60fps, unlike PS5's 30fps gameplay.

According to the reports, the PS5 Pro is Sony's first console to support the latest Wi-Fi 7 networking, bagging a storage of 2TB while still offering an additional NVMe SSD slot for storage expansion.

The reports also mention Sony's attempt to remaster some popular PS5 games for the Pro model, labelling them PS5 Pro-enhanced games. Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and The Last of Us Part II Remastered are some of these games.
