Apple has officially confirmed the date for the iPhone 16 launch event, marking the much-awaited debut of its new series. The tech giant labeled the invitation with the tagline, "It's glowtime." The iPhone16 launch event is set to be held on 9th September at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park. The company is calling it a special Apple event without any mention of the launch.
The event is expected to be streamed live through the Apple website, the Apple TV app, and YouTube starting at 10:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time). The California-based company is likely to unveil the iPhone 16 series along with the iWatch 10 series and new AirPods.
According to the rumoured design, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are expected to get a major design variation from the previous series. Apple is going vertical with its camera setup this time, ditching the pre-loved diagonal setup, which was being continued from the 13 series. However, there are no such design changes in the Pro and Pro Max models as far as we know. All four phones in the lineup are expected to feature an extra action button, as seen on the pro series of iPhone 15.
The invite for the event featured a multicoloured vibrant Apple logo, which hints towards the company's vision for artificial intelligence. The tech giant has openly promoted AI in their WWDC 2024 event, confirming an AI boost in the iOS18 software update.
According to a Bloomberg report, sales of the new iPhone 16 will begin from 20th September. The report further expects a redesigned Apple Watch Series 10 lineup. Apple is adding variety to its AirPod segment with two new additions, including a new entry-level TWS and another ANC functionality model.
