Facebook has finally changed its logo but it's not the type of change you might be thinking of instead many would not even realise that the logo has been changed. The reason being, it is not the greatest change the logo has seen to say the least. The only two changes that the logo has seen is a change of font which appears to be bigger than the font in the previous logo and the other change is that the colour in the background is still blue but darker than in the last logo.

Facebook has officially changed their logo to a solid

Meta went on to give an explanation for the change in the logo through a blog post on Wednesday which said, “Our intention was to create a refreshed design of the Facebook logo that was bolder, electric and everlasting. Each of the distinctive, new refinements drive greater harmony across the entire design as a key element of the app’s identity. We’ve done this by incorporating a more confident expression of Facebook’s core blue color that is built to be more visually accessible in our app and provides stronger contrast for the “f” to stand apart.”

Following this, people have taken to the internet reacting to this change and they clearly are having a field day at it, making memes about it and differentiating the old and the new logos.

However, it does make sense for Facebook to not radically change its logo after all it is being used by almost 2 billion people daily (unless the person in charge of changing the logo is Elon Musk lol). Jokes aside but this is a valid reason not to change a logo radically overnight but rather through small tweaks and changes over the years. Otherwise, it might create confusion in the minds of the users like it happened when Twitter changed its name and logo to ‘X’.
