To much anticipation, Apple finally held its annual launch event today and launched its brand new Apple Watch series 9 and Ultra 2 along with its range of iPhones, i.e. iPhone 15, 15 plus, 15 pro and 15 pro max. The price of Watch Series 9 starts at $399 and Ultra 2 is priced at $799. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 and 15 plus will start $799 and $899 respectively, whereas, the iPhone 15 pro and 15 pro max is priced at $999 and $1199.

The Apple Watch Series 9 comes in 2 variants: GPS and GPS+Cellular and features the S9 chipset. The watch also has a new double tap feature which can be used to answer or end a call, change music, snooze the alarm, scroll through widgets and much more. It is to be noted that this is not the first time, such a feature is included in the watch. The exact same feature can be used by enabling assistive touch and customising the use of assistive touch. The watch also features a new feature with which you can precisely find your iPhone by seeing the distance of how far your phone is from the watch. The watch also has new cycling features and an increased screen brightness of 2000 nits. This watch will come in 5 colours and Apple has also said that they will no longer use leather in its products.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 will include all the features of Watch Series 9 and some more, such as the increased brightness of 3000 nits with an option to dive upto 40 metres underwater. The watch will have a battery life of 36 hours and a maximum of 72 hours if used in low power mode and will include an On-device siri.

iPhone

Coming to the iPhones, Apple this year went all in to compensate for the iPhone 14 which was criticised by many and called as disappointing in comparison to all previous iPhones. iPhone 15 and 15 plus were launched at 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches respectively in Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Black colours with colour embedded into the rear glass and matte backs which will be run on A16 bionic which was launched last year. The major change in the iPhone 15 and 15 plus is the existence of dynamic island which was also launched last year on the iPhone 14 pro models. Another new addition is the 48 MP camera with 2x Telephoto which results in better portrait photos and also has 4k cinematic mode. The also features continuous zoom and gets an improved Smart HDR and Night Mode also applies to the front camera for improvised selfies. However, the biggest and the newest update of the is the arrival of the USB-C charging to its phones and to the Airpods Pro 2.

iPhone 15 Pro models will now have a customisable action button

Moving on to the iPhone pro models, the iPhone 15 pro and 15 pro max will have a new titanium design and will include an A17 pro chipset, which is the industry’s first 3 nm chip. The phones will be available in 4 colours Titanium White, Natural Titanium, Titanium Blue & Titanium Black and will have the thinnest bezels. The iPhone 15 Pro models will now have a customisable action button instead of the conventional mute button. This customisable action button can be made to be anything you want it to be. A new USB controller has also been added to the Pro models with USB 3. It is also being claimed that the new Pro models will be a gamer’s dreamland as it will have great graphics and can be connected to third party gaming controllers. In addition to the new 48 MP camera with nanoscale coating for reduced lens flare, the Pro models camera will consist of 5X optical zoom with three focal lengths of 24mm, 28mm and 35mm. It will also include a large sensor which will result in better low-light photography and will help in better macro photography. Apple has additionally claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro models will have a great battery life which will last the entire day.
