The much-awaited Mumbai City FC vs Al Hilal is almost here with the match scheduled to take place on the 6th of November at the DY Patil Stadium as its official venue. There is more good news for the football aficionados in India as pre-registration for the tickets to this game will start soon on the 29th of September from 11AM onwards on DreamSetGo.com and BookMyShow.
There is a lot of hype surrounding this match as it will see Football superstars such as Neymar jr, Milinkovic-Savic, Aleksander Mitrovic, Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly play for Al Hilal. Notably, many popular and upcoming footballers have moved to the Saudi Pro League in the summer transfer window for better opportunities and more money.
However, this hype is going to make purchasing tickets very difficult for fans as only 9,000 tickets are going to be sold to the fans, while the other 2,000 will be given to celebrities, VIP guests, actors and politicans. While reserving a few tickets for VIPs and team officials seems fine, keeping aside 2000 tickets for ‘influential people’ seems quite unfair and outrageous considering that it is the fans and their money that make the teams into what they are.
Nevertheless, this means that the price of the tickets is going to be high due to the extremely high demand with a very good chance that tickets will find themselves being sold on the black market for exorbitant prices, just like what happened with the sale of tickets at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
Al Hilal is the AFC Champions League’s
Al Hilal is the AFC Champions League’s most successful team which has won the title for record 4 times and has come as runners-up for 5 times. FC Nassaji Mazandaran of Iran and PFC Navbahor Namangan of Uzbekistan are the other two clubs in the group that will play against Mumbai City FC in Pune. The matches between Mumbai City FC and these teams will take place on September 18 and December 4, respectively.
