Rohtash Chaudhary, a Guinness World Record holder, broke Pakistan's previous record of one-legged standing push-ups. He did an astonishing 704 push-ups in one hour carrying 27.875 kilograms at the Town Hall in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. He achieved this great feat in the presence of Governor Acharya Devvrat.

How did Chaudhary achieve this record-breaking feat?

Chaudhary, who has become known as India’s “Push-Up Man” after multiple record-breaking performances, trained rigorously for this achievement, Chaudhary claimed he had pushed himself daily to do as many as 400 in a four-hour routine after setting the new national record surpassing Pakistan's earlier mark on weight 27.200 kgs and number of pushes of 534. "I feel a thousand times happier," he said, reflecting on his triumph. "I broke Pakistan's record within 22 days."

This achievement stands as a proud moment for India, especially as Chaudhary marked it in less than a month. His record-breaking performance added to his long list of achievements and also showed a victory for his home country.  "I have attempted this, but the record belongs to every Indian," Chaudhary humbly noted.

Chaudhary's is a great story of resilience and fighting spirit. He overcame a severe back injury that kept him flat on his bed for two whole years. He chose to do the impossible, defined the odds, rebuilt his strength, and pushed himself to greatness.

The record-breaking feats by Chaudhary did not go unnoticed either. Earlier, this year, he broke Spain's 537 reps in push-ups while carrying 37 kilograms and managed to do 743 push-ups within a single attempt. And yet, his dedication and steadfast commitment to fitness have made him a celebrated figure in the world of strength and endurance sports.

Chaudhary shared how proud he felt after his latest win, dedicating it to PM Narendra Modi. He stated that it was no longer his achievement but every Indian's since the record was once held by Pakistan and is now held by India.
