Every cricket fan has a World Cup on their bucket list. The chance only presents itself once every four years, requires a long and tiring wait, and may be expensive, but in the end, it is worthwhile.

The high cost of flight travel has driven many Indian fans to give up their ambition of attending the Cricket World Cup on home soil.

World Cup match between India and Pakistan in Ahmedabad:

Indian Railways is here to save the day if you want to see the high-profile World Cup match between India and Pakistan in Ahmedabad on October 14 but haven't yet reserved plane tickets or they are too pricey. Your transportation will be handled by a special Vande Bharat train.

The railroads would operate special Vande Bharat trains to Ahmedabad for the cricket match, according to reliable sources. Fans from all over India have planned trips to the capital of Gujarat, and hotel rooms and flights have already been reserved. However, as matchday approaches, flight costs continue to rise.

Special trains will leave from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra and stop at Sabarmati and Ahmedabad, both of which are close to the Narendra Modi stadium.

According to a top official, "the scheduling has been done so that the train will arrive in Ahmedabad a few hours before the match begins, so that passengers can easily travel back to their home destinations after the match is over," as reported by News18.

Vande Bharat has surprises in store for cricket fans

By playing patriotic soundtracks, acting out past cricket matches between India and Pakistan, and even offering limited-edition products, the railways intend to make travelling worthwhile.

Special trains have been scheduled in an effort to combat issues like high hotel rates, insufficient lodging, and outrageous airfare. According to the representative, the purpose of running these trains is to enable spectators to travel back home after the game.

The source stated that the Narendra Modi stadium is not far from the Sabarmati and Ahmedabad stations, where trains travelling from these specific places are scheduled to arrive.

After being available online, tickets for the India-Pakistan match were quickly sold out. Also anticipated at the stadium are a number of VIPs and VVIPs.

The market prices are ridiculous

In Ahmedabad, prices for certain hotel rooms increased by more than 12 times the typical rate, with rooms costing as much as 53,000 rupees per night in three-star hotels due to last-minute revisions to the fixture list.

Those who are fortunate enough to find match tickets may also be subject to pay the extra prices. On the official booking platform, World Cup tickets range in price from 499 rupees to 40,000 rupees. The most expensive ticket for India vs. Pakistan sold for 25 million rupees on Viagogo, a global ticket exchange and ticket resale business, illustrating the excessive costs in the market.

The issue may also have an impact on foreign-bound fans visiting India. Fans from other nations, particularly Pakistan, a neighbours with a passion for cricket, struggle to obtain visas.

On BookMyShow's website, it is stated that further tickets for India matches will be "coming soon" and that there are still some seats available for several other teams' matches, including those involving England, Pakistan, and Australia.
