Experts have observed the various extreme weather conditions throughout the world which have been going on for almost a month, ranging from the severe monsoon season in India to the wildfires and heatwaves in Europe and Canada which everyone is starting to face slowly and steadily. Experts have now stated that these conditions have started to impact thousands and have said that the reason for such conditions is most probably climate change.

In India, such heavy rainfall has caused damaged to properties worth crores of rupees and has impacted daily life and has in extreme cases even caused death. Rivers such as Yamuna, Hindon and others have also crossed their danger marks, resulting in floods. Many Asian countries such as Pakistan, China and Afghanistan have also witnessed heavy rainfall and flash floods.

Meanwhile, in Europe and Canada, heatwaves and wildfires have resulted in loss of property and record breaking temperatures. In British Columbia, Canada there was an intense wildfire which also affected parts of the US.

Greece has also been facing severe wildfires for two weeks now and has just this week also recorded its first casualties in the islands of Rhodes, Corfu and Evia. Over in Italy, the country has been split into two parts with the northern side experiencing heavy storms and hail and the southern side reporting wildfires and intense heat.

The role of climate change is absolutely overwhelming," said climate scientist Friederike Otto, from the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment at Imperial College London. Another lead climate scientist at Imperial College London - Mariam Zachariah - stated that such events would not have occurred if there was no climate change. She added that the heat waves in Europe and North America are "virtually impossible" without the increase in heat from the mid-1800s. Experts added further that all these events are also simple proof that climate change is very real and a crisis that needs to be dealt with.
