Popular YouTuber and philanthropist MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, is set to take his next big step in the entertainment world. This time, he's building an entire custom "city" for his new reality show, Beast Games, which is set to debut on December 19. The ambitious project is set to challenge contestants in daring stunts, offering a massive $5 million prize.

MrBeast took to social media and shared photos of the set, revealing that it had cost a huge sum of money, $14 million, to build a city in a field to host contestants. "We spent $14,000,000 building a city in a field for the contestants in Beast Games to live and compete in.. December 19th is almost here," he posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).  The custom-built city is situated in Toronto and will be accommodating over 1,000 contestants, all of whom will compete for the staggering prize. The trailer for Beast Games teases an action-packed competition featuring “monster trucks, Navy SEALs, and daring stunts,” so viewers can expect a wild ride.

While the details of the show are kept secret, the trailer of Beast Games has been giving some idea about the grand scale of the competition. There are over 1,000 participants, and challenges that are expected to be of the highest stakes and heart-thumping action. MrBeast's ventures are always characterized by outrageous stunts, and Beast Games is no different.

While MrBeast's massive project has created tremendous buzz, it has also faced some pushback. Former contestants have questioned the conditions on set, where they claimed not to get enough food and waited way too long for necessary medication. These allegations put a layer of controversy over the show, debating the treatment of participants in a reality TV show.

Reacting to all these, MrBeast stated he supports his project, mainly because,“The goal is to make the best content possible, not make money,” he stated.  While lots of the fans of MrBeast respect this approach to creating truly different and exhilarating content, other people consider the moral legitimacy of such competitive shows, considering their effects on the genre of reality TV shows.
