A recent Bryan Adams concert in Mumbai has been a talking point after one man, Sheldon Aranjo, suffering from diabetes, narrated how he was forced to pee in his pants at the venue owing to a dire lack of washroom facilities.
Mr Aranjo went public with an open letter to Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and EVA Global Events as he took up the cause against the management at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre.
What went down in the Venues?
Mr. Aranjo, an entertainment and media professional, posted on his LinkedIn post that there were only three washrooms for a crowd of over 1,000 attendants. This he further supported with an image of his soiled pants because he was not ashamed because he suffers from incontinence issues brought about by diabetes.
"I PAID to PEE (in my pants) at the Bryan Adams concert. Shocked? You should be," Mr Aranjo wrote in his post.
He further shared how he hurried to the restroom upon arrival but was met with an unmanageably long queue. Hoping to find relief elsewhere, he rushed to another washroom but was turned away because it was "meant for the other category."
With options dwindling, Mr. Aranjo described how he tried to find an alternative solution."I made a dash for the nearest tree (which meant dodging a few well-meaning security guards as well). Finally, I managed to empty and 'release' the pressure (but not before soiling my pants!)," he wrote, highlighting his humiliation and frustration.
Mr Aranjo also claimed that many others who attended the show had similar complaints. They reportedly experienced long toilet queues, complicated cash-loading procedures for purchases at the concert, poorly managed food stalls, and other issues.
He described the concert's overall organization as "amateur management". He urged event organizers to improve their management skills for the next time they feature international artists.

Wrapping up on a hopeful note, Mr Aranjo clarified that his post was not just a rant but "a cry for help" to improve event management standards. Despite the chaos, he credited Bryan Adams' performance for saving what could have been a "rather forgetful evening."
The Canadian rock star performed in Mumbai on 13 December as part of his ' So Happy It Hurts' World Tour. His India leg kicked off on December 8 in Kolkata, with concerts across six cities.
