In today's world, many people feel nervous when they get calls from unknown numbers. Cyber fraud has made people extra careful, so they often ignore such calls, thinking they might be scams. But for one man, this caution turned into a big mistake.

A person kept receiving calls from an American number. Since he thought it was spam, he did not answer. Later, he found out that the call was actually from Amazon’s recruitment team offering him a job. By the time he realised this, it was too late.

The man received his first call on February 7, 2024, but ignored it. Then, he got another call on February 24, but he disconnected it again, believing it was just another unwanted call. After that, the calls stopped coming for about a month.

Realising the mistake too late

After some time, the man got curious about the number. He decided to check it on the Truecaller app. That’s when he found out that the call was from Amazon’s hiring team. He was shocked and upset, realising he had missed an important job opportunity.

He later shared his experience on Reddit, saying, “I kept getting calls from an American number, but I thought it was spam and disconnected the call. However, I later found out that the call was from Amazon and that it could have been an important job offer for me.”

Sadly, he was unable to contact the number again. This caused him a lot of stress. Many social media users are now trying to comfort him, saying they understand how frustrating this situation must be. His story is a reminder that sometimes an unknown call might just be life-changing.
