A shocking incident took place on a train when a man peacefully sleeping on his berth was suddenly harassed by another passenger. The accused walked up to him and, without any reason, forcefully kissed him in front of other passengers. He did not ask for space, nor did he seek help—he simply did something unthinkable.

Victim confronts the accused

The victim was in shock after the incident and immediately confronted the accused. However, instead of apologizing or feeling guilty, the accused casually responded, “I liked it, so I did it.” This response further angered the victim, who then started recording the accused on camera. A video of this incident has now gone viral on social media, with people reacting strongly to it.

One social media user commented, “I have watched the video, and I’m surprised. Where is this society moving?” Another added, “If a man is not safe from predators, how safe are women?”

In the video, the victim narrates his experience. He says, “I was sleeping on the train, and this man forcefully kissed me in front of everyone. When I confronted him, he casually responded, ‘I liked it, so I did it.’ His wife is defending him, saying, ‘Let it go; it’s not a big deal.’”

He further adds, “I’m not letting this go. If this had happened to a woman, everyone would have spoken up. What if it had happened to his wife?”

Hearing this, the accused interrupts and says, “It was a mistake.” However, the victim remains firm on his stand. He points out that if this had happened to a woman, bystanders would have immediately reacted. But in his case, people remained silent, which deeply upset him.

As the situation got worse, the victim demanded that someone call the police. He pointed his camera towards the train aisle, showing that other passengers were watching but not stepping in to help. He kept shouting, “Call the police!”

The argument became intense, and at one point, the victim tried to pull the accused out of his seat. The accused’s wife quickly stepped in to protect her husband, begging the victim to let it go. She even started crying while trying to shield him. However, the victim refused to back down. He slapped the accused several times and kept telling the wife to move aside.

Social media reactions

Many people strongly condemned the act and called for justice for the victim. One user wrote, “This is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. Such incidents must not be tolerated anywhere, especially in public spaces like Indian Railways. It’s a reminder that even men are not always safe, and every victim deserves justice.”

Another user criticized the accused’s wife for defending his actions, saying, “By shielding him, his wife is inadvertently enabling his behavior, giving him a license to continue such actions.”

A third user praised the victim for standing up for himself. “Hats off to this guy for raising his voice! It’s heartbreaking to hear about cases of harassment on trains. What’s important is that we have effective support systems in place for victims. Whether it’s helplines like 139 or complaint committees, we need to ensure that help is always available,” the comment read.
