Indian weddings are famous for their big celebrations, colourful traditions, and special moments. In Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, one wedding became the talk of the town—not because of a fancy car or a helicopter, but because the groom's family used bulldozers! This unexpected choice surprised everyone and soon became popular on social media.
A bidaai like never before
Traditionally, grooms arrive in grand style to pick up their brides, using decorated cars or even horses. However, at this wedding, the real showstopper was a fleet of bulldozers.
On Thursday, bride Karishma was ready to leave for her new home after marrying Rahul Yadav. As she stepped into a beautifully decorated car for the ceremonial farewell (bidaai), something unexpected happened. Nearly a dozen bulldozers joined the wedding procession, turning a simple send-off into a grand spectacle. Guests and onlookers were stunned at first but soon started cheering and recording videos. The event quickly earned the name “bulldozer wedding” on social media.

Why bulldozers?
Bulldozers have been in the news in Uttar Pradesh, often associated with the Yogi Adityanath-led government’s crackdown on illegal properties. So, seeing them as part of a wedding procession took many by surprise.
When asked about this unique choice, the groom’s uncle, Ramkumar, explained, “These are Babaji’s bulldozers, and we thought of doing a different kind of ‘bidaai’ with them, which will look good and different. I am very happy. People traditionally use cars and helicopters, but we used bulldozers because, by the grace of God, we own some JCBs," reported NDTV.
The groom, Rahul Yadav, also shared his excitement about the unusual send-off. “We decided to do this thinking that people will like it. The bulldozer is very popular in Uttar Pradesh," he said.
The bride, Karishma, also embraced the grand gesture with joy, making this one of the most unforgettable farewells ever seen at an Indian wedding.
