Most kids don’t get to live out their dreams so young, but Jack Martin Pressman from the US, an american boy did something incredible. At only 8 years and 33 days old, he became the youngest person to experience zero gravity. He did this on a special flight by a company called Zero G. This company lets people feel what it’s like to float in space without gravity — just like astronauts!

Jack loves space a lot. He even has a special space-themed room at home that only he can enter. The room has walls painted moonlight blue and is decorated with glowing stars, constellations, planets, and a small spaceship — it looks like a mini galaxy!

“He and I would crawl into that spaceship, and we would cuddle up, and I would read him stories about space. I would like to think that that fostered his love for space," Jack’s mother, Jessica Pressman, told the Guinness World Records.

Inspired by a family conversation

Jack’s journey to breaking a world record started after a heartfelt conversation with his dad, Jason Pressman. Jason shared that one of his biggest regrets was never getting to fly on the Concorde. Jack, who had heard his dad talk about Zero G before, responded, “Baba, if I don’t get to fly on that Zero G plane, I think I’m going to always regret it.”

Jason found his son’s words surprising but respected his dream. He said, “Well, you’re only seven, so that’s a little peculiar, but I respect it,” and soon after, they booked the flight. As soon as Jack turned eight, they were ready for the adventure.

Training and the big day

Before Jack could experience zero gravity, he and his family had to train for it. They watched videos at home to learn what to do and also got help from experts in person to make sure they were ready for the flight.

Once in the air, Jack experienced zero gravity a total of 18 times — each moment lasting around 30 seconds. The young boy excitedly shared, “I tried to catch water in my mouth; I did a backflip, a 360°..." He clearly made the most of his once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Jack isn’t stopping at this record. He dreams of becoming an astronaut one day. He even hopes to break another record by becoming the youngest person to travel to space.

“Becoming a record breaker feels really crazy. I’ve looked at this book (GWR book) with my friends, and I’ve always thought, ‘Hm, what could I do to get in there?’ And when I heard that, I was stoked!” Jack said.

A video of Jack’s incredible achievement has gone viral on social media, with people worldwide cheering for the young space enthusiast. His story proves that no dream is too big — even for an 8-year-old!
