Shiv Sena's South Mumbai division chief Pandurang Sakpal said that the competition would be held to inculcate Ajaan in the children of the Muslim community. This information was given by Pandurang Sakpal while interacting with Basirat Online.

"There is a Muslim settlement near my house," said Pandurang Sakpal. "This makes me hear Azaan every day, which gives me a peace of mind. So it occurred to me to hold this competition for the children of Muslim community." he added.

"For the children participating in this competition, Maulana will look after the work of the examiner for the sound, pronunciation and how many minutes they finish the azaan." Sakpal also said that Shiv Sena will bear the cost of this competition as well as rewards.

"Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray has also always appreciated patriotic Muslims. He also had allowed a Muslim couple to offer prayers at Matoshri. Some Muslim office bearers of Shiv Sena had come to me despite Corona's condition and asked me to do something for their children and that is why I planned on this event" added Sakpal

When asked what do you think about the fact that some people are bothered by the voice of Azaan, Sakpal said it is as important as MahaAarti and anyone who raises voice against the noise of Azaan should be ignored.
