Rajnath Singh, the minister of defence, declared on Friday that Narendra Modi would remain the PM in 2024 and 2029.
In reaction to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s assertion that Amit Shah would succeed Prime Minister Modi as he would turn 75 on September 17, 2025, Rajnath Singh made the following comments.
“He (Narendra Modi) will be the Prime Minister of the country in 2024 and 2029,” ANI quoted Rajnath Singh as saying.
“It is not even a matter of debate. PM Modi has raised India’s stature globally and has strengthened the economic situation of our country,” the Defence Minister said.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India’s economy rose from 11th to 5th place in the world, according to Rajnath Singh, a candidate running for Lok Sabha from Lucknow.
“India will be in the 3rd spot, after the United States and China, by 2027,” he added.
Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, recently declared that Narendra Modi would serve out his third term as prime minister.
“I want to tell Arvind Kejriwal and the INDIA bloc that there is no need to be happy about Modi turning 75. It is not written in the Constitution of the BJP that Modi cannot become Prime Minister. He will again become Prime Minister and complete the term,” Shah said at a rally in Hyderabad.
Arvind Kejriwal, who was granted interim parole and escaped Tihar Jail, has stated on numerous occasions that Amit Shah will succeed Narendra Modi on September 17, 2025, the Prime Minister’s 75th birthday.
Kejriwal made the assertion in reference to the BJP’s policy that said that members who turned 75 would not be allowed to occupy positions in the party or administration.
The leader of the AAP also declared that if the BJP comes to power, CM Yogi Adityanath will be removed from his post within 2-3 months. He also added that the BJP will change the Constitution and remove SC and ST reservations.
