Congress Party's top decision-making panel (CWC) met a day after an explosive letter was written by 26 top leaders calling for "a full-time, visible leadership except for the Gandhis" emerged to discuss the turmoil within the organization.

Sonia Gandhi's announcement led to statements in support of her and sharp criticism of the letter-writers, mainly by Rahul Gandhi who intervened to accuse the "dissidents" in collusion with the BJP.

The letter, demanding "collective decision-making", calls into question the leadership of the Gandhis. Many of the signatories to the letter, Ghulam Nabi Azad, offered to resign if "he was in any manner mixed up with BJP" while on the other hand Kapil Sibal openly rebutted and questioned Rahul Gandhi's 'collusion with BJP' remark on twitter.

The immaturity of Rahul Gandhi and his inconsiderable behaviour towards the Congress Party leaders and workers is slowly heading towards a revolt by it's own leaders.

It's a fact that Congress leadership under Sonia Gandhi has not been handling conditions smartly be it in Rajasthan or in Punjab and it is necessary for the party to choose a non-Gandhi President otherwise Rahul Gandhi will literally drown the entire Party along with his career leaving with the 'lone-wolf' BJP in the mainstream politics.
