In a recent incident, a video of Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan supposedly endorsing the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh ahead of the Assembly elections has gone viral on social media. The video prominently displays the Congress logo and gives the impression that the actor is supporting the party. However, it has been clarified that the video is a manipulated version of a clip shared by Disney+Hotstar during the ongoing ICC Men's World Cup. The original video, in fact, showcases a billboard with Disney+Hotstar's branding.

The morphed video features Congress leader Kamal Nath on the billboard, along with promises of providing two lakh government jobs and a free loan of 50,000. It also includes pledges targeted at women, such as free bus services, monthly financial assistance of 1,500, and subsidized LPG cylinders. Additionally, the voiceover in the video has been manipulated to align with the actor's supposed support for the Congress party.

This controversy prompted one Twitter user to share the video with a caption suggesting that Kartik Aaryan had extended his support to the Indian National Congress in the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections in 2023. This misleading information gained significant attention on social media.

Kartik Aaryan, also known as the 'Shehzaada' actor, addressed the situation by taking to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the origin of the viral video. He shared the original advertisement and stated, "This is the REAL AD @DisneyPlusHS. Rest all is Fake." This tweet aimed to dispel any confusion surrounding his political affiliations.

A source close to Kartik Aaryan further emphasized that the video was a manipulated version of an advertisement he had done for a streaming platform. The source described the video as misleading and mischievous, intended to wrongly associate the actor with political groups. They confirmed that Kartik Aaryan has no such affiliations with any political party.
