Any ideology doesn’t sustain only with the amount of people supporting it but it requires people to spread the narrative, expand their audience and show people why they worth the support.
When you consider an example of Liberals in India, they know what they want from the government, from the authorities and have a crystal clear knowledge about their subject which is why they are subject to tremendous support from media, from brands and from the government as well.
While in the case of Conservatives or we could call the ‘Right-Wing’ ideology, they do not know what they want. Their demands vary from one point to another because they surrender themselves in front of resistance and then negotiate on their own demands which shows they cant even stand on their own beliefs.
Support for the right-wing is just another issue because irrespective of amount of followers in this ideology, they are pretty indecisive. And here’s the example: One moment people will call Narendra Modi ‘Maulana Modi’ and the very next moment, same people will hail him for being the flag bearer of Hindutva after Ram Mandir ceremony.
Hypocrisy is something majority of both ideologies have but the left has quite dominant points and proofs to back them during arguments while the right-wing continues to foul cry over the media and narratives being changes or being manipulated.
It is simple, you are the one who controls media, you’re the one who funds media, you’re the one who changes narratives BUT you have to do your part, you can’t just sit back and expect things to change just because you voted for a government which proclaims to be of your ideology.
Governments can change within years but the left put in decades to establish & unite themselves and funded their own people so they are not just able to mould narratives but even control laws as and when they want in whatever way suits them for decades to come.
