Following the bail of the accused teen in the Pune Porsche case, his family has filed a petition for the return of their luxury supercar, which is currently held by police as the culprit vehicle. The notorious hit-and-run case garnered mass outrage after the accused teen killed two IT engineers with his supercar. The court directed the accused to write a 300-word essay as a punishment, which evoked a huge uproar among the netizens, who trolled the court's decision on social media.

The family in the petition stated that the teen successfully completed the bail conditions, submitting the 300-word essay on road safety to the court. They further argued that their son is also done with the 15-day safe-driving- programme as ordered by the court. Hence, the car should be returned.

The court will hear the petition of the family on August 26. As part of the case, the court has ordered the police to submit the report by August 28.

Bail Granted to Key Figures in Pune Porsche Case's Kidnapping Charge

The horrific incident took place on May 19, where the 17-year-old accused teen hit two IT engineers - Aneesh Awadhiya and his friend Ashwini Koshta in Kalyani Nagar junction. The victims lost their lives in the accident, and the accused (the son of a prominent builder) was granted bail immediately.

Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar asserted that the blood samples of two of the accused's friends, who were in the car at the time of the accident, were swapped with two people at the Maharashtra government-run Sassoon Hospital.

Ironically, the accused was asked to write a 300-word essay. In contrast to that, the Pune police filed a 900-page chargesheet against the seven arrests in the case. Last month, shattering some more audacity, a Pune court granted bail to the father, Vishal S Agarwal, and grandfather, Surendrakumar B Agarwal, of the accused, in a case of kidnapping and the unlawful confinement of their family driver.
