These incidents occurred amidst the ongoing Amarnath Yatra in South Kashmir. The pilgrimage attracts thousands of devotees each year, and security forces remain vigilant to ensure their safety. The encounters in Kulgam highlight the challenges faced by security personnel during this sensitive period.

Following the Saturday encounter, security forces launched a search operation in Rajouri district. Several rounds of bullets were fired near an army camp, leading to a half-hour-long clash. Despite their efforts, the terrorists managed to escape into the nearby forest. An official reported, “A few rounds of bullets were fired near an army camp in the Manjakot area of Rajouri.”
