Yogi Adityanath will return as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh with the BJP taking an unassailable lead over rivals in India's politically most vital state with an ever bigger vote share than last time, as counting of votes entered its sixth hour on Thursday.

For the first time ever, Uttarakhand has re-elected a state government as BJP has retained its vote share despite earlier indications of change.

From the second-largest party in 2017, the BJP is emerging as the single largest party in this election. It is heading towards a majority on its own in Goa despite incumbency for 10 years.

In Punjab, a historic win for Aam Aadmi Party, is set to give its first chance at running a full state unlike Delhi, which is a Union Territory. A major break for Arvind Kejriwal as the leader expands his horizons.

Meanwhile in Manipur, Chief Minister N Biren Singh has registered a landslide victory from the Heingang seat. The trends also indicate a massive saffron surge in the state as BJP continues its hold in the North-East state along with estranged allies.

While most political leaders celebrated by going to religious places and on Social Media, visuals of BJP CMs who retained their governments in all the 4 states went viral as they reached their state headquarters to celebrate the victory.
