Budget 2024: Government announces internship opportunities for 1 crore youth in 500 top companies

While presenting the budget on Tuesday, the union finance minister announced a scheme to provide internship opportunities to one crore youth in 500 top companies over the 5-year tenure of the ruling party. The Finance Minister announced that the new scheme will offer an internship allowance of ₹5,000 per month and a one-time assistance payment of ₹6,000.

She also assured that companies offering internships will cover the training expenses and utilize their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for this purpose. According to her, the Interns will benefit from hands-on experience and receive a monthly allowance.

Key Priorities in Budget 2024

In her recent speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the Union Budget 2024-25, highlighting nine key priorities designed to stimulate job creation and drive economic growth in India.
