An employee shared a horrifying experience on Reddit, sparking outrage across the internet. The post described the workplace as a “jail” rather than a productive environment. It called out the highly restrictive nature of the workplace, where employees are prohibited from speaking to each other and are also not allowed to use mobile phones.
The viral post shows a screenshot that reveals the strict environment of the workplace where looking away from the screen could lead to serious consequences. Phone calls are also prohibited while family calls are only allowed in case of extreme emergency.
Apart from these restrictions, frequent restroom breaks are also restricted as they consume time, and communication with co-workers is also prohibited. Instead, you can communicate via digital means as casual conversation consumes much time.
The post reads, “ Please make a reel on my current office environment."
Elaborating the toxic workplace the employee wrote, "Silent office. No talking even for a second. Jail is better. At least I can talk there, look around, or stand up if I want to."
People reacted to the post expressing their concern, one of the commenters said, "This isn't just about work. It's about control, about stripping away even the smallest aspects of comfort and humanity."
A user on Reddit asked the employee to call out the company name and share the experience on platforms like Glassdoor to make the job seekers aware. He said, "Name and shame these leeches who suck not just your health but your soul too."
Another user said, "When you do leave this toxic cesspool, please keep a copy of what you shared here and post it on the company's Glassdoor. Perhaps, citing and elaborating a few more examples a bit more will hit the nail on the head for future prospective job seekers against these people."
