Seema Haider, the woman who illegally crossed the border from Pakistan to Nepal and then Nepal to India to marry her internet lover has been sent a Rs 3 crore defamation notice by her ex-husband Ghulam Haider. Her current husband Sachin Meena has also been served the defamation notice for Rs 3 crores.

According to reports, Ghulam Haider has also sent her lawyer AP Singh, a notice of Rs 5 crores after he hired an Indian lawyer to mull possible legal action against the couple.

According to the notice, Ghulam’s lawyer Ali Momin has asked the couple to apologise and deposit the money within a month or else he will take legal action against them.

Earlier, news agency PTI had reported that Ghulam had sought help from top Pakistani lawyer and human rights activist Ansar Burney to get the custody of his four children. Burney has also informed PTI that Momin was hired after due process and power of attorney has been sent to start legal proceedings in India.

Seema Haider had initially grabbed eyeballs when she reached Nepal from Pakistan via Dubai and then reached India after crossing the border to marry Sachin Meena, a friend she had befriended on the mobile game PUBG who lived in Noida. They then started to talk on WhatsApp and decided to marry each other.

She was arrested on 4th July for illegally entering India without a visa via Nepal and was even investigated by national security agencies on the suspicion of being a Pakistani spy after her renewed efforts to stay in the country. Even Sachin Meena was arrested for sheltering illegal immigrants.
