The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has denied recent reports saying that Dubai would give lifetime Golden Visas to people from certain countries. The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) said that all Golden Visa applications are only handled through official government channels in the UAE. No private company or consultancy is allowed to handle or approve these applications.
This statement came after a company called Rayad Group claimed that it was chosen by the UAE to test a new "nomination-based golden visa" in India. The company said that under this new plan, Indians could get a lifetime Golden Visa by paying AED 1,00,000 (about ₹23.3 lakh).
The UAE said this claim is false, has no legal standing, and was made without talking to the right authorities. The UAE also explained that the rules for getting a Golden Visa are clearly written in official laws and decisions. The UAE further said it is committed to keeping the visa process safe and clear for everyone and will continue to offer these services only through its official online platforms.
The official notification said that legal action will be taken against anyone spreading false information to cheat people and take their money. These fake promises target people who dream of living a safe and respected life in the UAE.
The authority asked people who want to visit, live, or invest in the UAE not to believe false news or rumours. It also warned them not to pay money or share personal documents with anyone who falsely claims they can provide such visas. Peoplewho want visas should always check the correct process on official sources, like the authority’s website or by calling the official helpline, before doing anything.
About UAE's golden visa
The UAE started the Golden Visa in 2019. At first, it was for rich people who invested in real estate. In 2022, the UAE made it easier by reducing the minimum property investment to AED 2 million. This change allowed more people to apply for the 10-year visa.
