Two men from Telangana were killed and another was injured in an attack at a bakery in Dubai, reportedly carried out by a Pakistani national who was shouting religious slogans, according to the victims' families. One of the victims, 35-year-old Ashtapu Premsagar from Soan village in Nirmal district, was killed with a sword on April 11, his uncle A Poshetty told PTI. 

The attack is said to have taken place at the bakery where all three victims were working. Premsagar had been working at the Dubai bakery for the past five to six years and had last visited his family two years ago, his uncle A Poshetty said.

Premsagar has a wife and two children. Poshetty mentioned that the family has not yet been told about his death and urged the government to help bring his body back to India. He also requested financial support for the family, as they are struggling.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy identified the second man who died as Srinivas, a resident of Nizamabad district. The third victim, Sagar, was injured in the attack and is currently in the hospital, his wife Bhavani told reporters in Nizamabad.

Expressing his grief over the incident, Reddy said he had spoken to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and asked for help in bringing the bodies of the deceased back to India. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said he was deeply shocked by the brutal killing of two men from Telangana, Ashtapu Premsagar from Nirmal and Srinivas from Nizamabad, in Dubai.

In a post on X, he said he had spoken to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, who assured full support to the families and promised that the bodies would be brought back to India quickly. Reddy also said that the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) will work to ensure fast justice in the case and thanked Jaishankar for his help.

Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, also expressed sadness over the killings. He said he had spoken to MEA officials and confirmed that the Union Home Ministry is also in touch with them. "Deeply saddened by the tragic killing of Shri Ashtapu Prem Sagar and Shri Srinivas, both from Telangana, who were brutally attacked by a Pakistani national at Modern Bakery LLC in Dubai during working hours on April 11," Kumar said in a post on X.
