The consecration of Ram Mandir cost $13.45 million, Over $214 million spent yet

The last sections of the temple which will be built by the end of this year would still require up to ₹ 670 crore ($ 79. 8 million).

As per an article of the Times of India, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust of Ayodhya, has said that the consecration of Ayodhya temple of Ram Lalla has cost ₹ 113 Crore ($ 13. 45 million). The article also stated that in the most recent meeting of the temple trust, the latter disclosed that ₹1,800 crore ($214 million) has been spent as of now. The last sections of the temple which will be built by the end of this year would still require up to ₹ 670 crore ($ 79. 8 million).

During the board of trustees meeting the annual accounts for the fiscal year 2023–24 were also presented. In September the trust will have filed it’s income tax returns. The trust also revealed during the last four years the devotees donated more than 20 kg of gold and 13 quintals of silver to the temple.

Trust General Secretary Champat Rai said ₹850 crore ($101. 24 million) will be spent in the twelve months beginning April 1, 2024, and ending March 31, 2025.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust was formed on February 5, 2020 following the Ayodhya Ram Mandir case judgement delivered by Supreme Court in the year 2019. The Supreme Court of India cleared the construction of Ram Temple at the site of demolished Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on November 9, 2019. Also, the Supreme Court directed for the creation of a 5-acre block of land for the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Waqf Board for the construction of the Mosque. In the case of the contested area, the supreme court ordered the establishment of a trust in order to construct a temple of hindu.

Among them are the construction of a large temple to be built in the honor of Shri Ram in Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi; the organization oversees site 67. 703 acres of property that was purchased after the Supreme Court verdict as well as the construction and management of and auxiliary structures such as a hospital and a museum among others. There are fifteen members in the trust, out of which six are nominated members and are nine are the permanent members. In this respect, one of the members of the Trust is supposed to be from the Dalit group of the society.
