Teacher abuses a student of a private school in Lodha police station of Aligarh for forgetting his school bag on September 25. The victim, seven years old, returned home in tears and informed his mother about the incident, which prompted the family to file a complaint with the police. The inquiry was launched on Monday.
Dilip Kumar of Bharat Nagla stated that his son James, a UKG student of a local school near Khereshwar Dham temple, was dropped by his grandfather as Dilip was not at home and his wife was unwell. The family claims that it was then that the teacher reacted violently when James somehow forgot his bag. "The teacher beat him badly," Dilip told media sources.
"They removed his clothes and shoes, gave him electric shocks and subjected him to extreme cruelty," Dilip added. The traumatized child left school during the break and shared his experience with his mother.
The family quickly confronted the school and brought the matter to the police. "We have started questioning the school staff and administrators. A case will be registered based on the written complaint." said DSP Ranjan Sharma. Rajveer Singh Parmar, officer in charge at Lodha police station, and his team visited the school to investigate the incident.
In response, the school principal rejected the allegations. "The complaints of the child being subjected to electric shock are wrong. We are ready to show CCTV footage. The allegations are unsubstantiated."
