Swiggy launches 'Project Next'; Here's how it will help delivery partners with career advancement

The online Food delivery maestro Swiggy, famous for its unique campaign and social media presence, has now come up with a new initiative aimed at levelling up their delivery partners. Swiggy has launched “Project Next”, an initiative that will help its delivery unit build a career in sales while growing the company’s restaurant network. Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy Food Marketplace, announced the launch through a LinkedIn post.
This is a new addition to the company’s programme of “Swiggy Skills” in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. According to the announcement post, “Project Next” is an initiative where qualified delivery partners will be transitioned into the role of sales executives. This project will help the company to expand its restaurant network.

Swiggy CEO Praises Project Next for Transforming Careers in Growing Markets
Praising the delivery partners, Kapoor wrote, “You know who covers way more ground than any of us do? Our delivery partners. Not only do they know the chappa-chappa of every alley, they are super close to our restaurant partners and aware of their needs.”
“That’s why we have launched “Project Next” which provides a clear and logical path for delivery partners who want to build a career with Swiggy. Partners like Pawan (in picture), who has been a Swiggy delivery partner for three years, have now transitioned to becoming a sales executive through Project Next. It allows them the opportunity to try their hands at something different!”
“I’m posting a picture of Pawan at Moka Coffee Co in Kota, the latest restaurant onboarded and managed by him. And making a mental note to swing by for a strong cup of coffee and some chit-chat soon,” he added.
Lauding the success of Project Next, Swiggy CEO wrote, “Pawan along with 100+ delivery partners-turned-sales executives have done a tremendous job by onboarding hundreds of restaurants on Swiggy, across growing markets in the country. In 150+ growing markets like Vadodara, Amritsar, Nashik, Agra, and Dharwad, hundreds of delivery partners will be transitioning to sales executive roles. And help us serve restaurants even better.”
