The terms "Jyothi," which signifies brightness, and "linga," which denotes phallus, result from breaking the phrase Jyotirlinga. These Jyotirlingas are supposed to be the various guises that Lord Shiva has assumed. As part of their spiritual journey, Hindu pilgrims come from all across the nation to view each of the 12 Jyotirlingas, which are located at significant locations across India. Apart from bestowing blessings and spiritual wisdom, these sanctums are breathtakingly serene and lovely. IRCTC provides a variety of packages for visitors to these Jyotirlingas. However, can you picture touring all twelve of the Jyotirlingas while riding a bicycle across India?

In the holy month of Kartika, Madhya Pradesh resident Gajanand is doing just that. He set out on this year's April 25 cycling tour and has already made it to seven Jyotirlingas. On his trip to Rameswaram to see Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy, Gajanand stopped by Komarolu in the Prakasam district and chatted with News 18. He stated that his major goal in going on his bicycle tour was to encourage others to experience a sense of dedication. There have already been visits to seven Jyotirlinga, he claimed.

According to Gajanand, residents have been approaching him when he cycles through the villages because word of his journey has spread. It would need him around four months, he added, to visit the five Jyotirlingas that are still standing.

Gajanand claims the idea came to him during a very difficult and difficult period of the coronavirus outbreak. He went on to add that he overcome his challenges at the time because of divine intervention and his faith in God. As a result, he made the decision to dedicate a whole year to God and perform a cycle of the 12 Jyotorlingas in order to both demonstrate and share his devotion.

The twelve Jyotirlingas, revered in Hinduism as manifestations of Lord Shiva, are sacred shrines spread across India. These divine abodes include Somnath in Gujarat, Mallikarjuna in Andhra Pradesh, Mahakaleshwar in Madhya Pradesh, Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh, Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, Bhimashankar in Maharashtra, Kashi Vishwanath in Uttar Pradesh, Trimbakeshwar in Maharashtra, Vaidyanath (Vaijnath) in Jharkhand, Nageshwar (Aundha) in Gujarat, Rameshwar (Ramanathaswamy) in Tamil Nadu, and Grishneshwar in Maharashtra.

Each Jyotirlinga holds unique significance and characteristics, symbolizing various stories and facets of Lord Shiva's cosmic presence. Pilgrims embark on a spiritual journey to seek blessings at these sacred sites, fostering a deep connection with the divine and the rich tapestry of Hindu Culture.
