A major controversy has recently surrounded Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon. Known for her strong professional background and substantial fan following, Raveena was accused of assaulting three individuals in Mumbai's Bandra late one Saturday night.

The incident unfolded near Carter Road, close to Rizvi College, and was captured in a video that quickly went viral online. In the footage, Raveena Tandon is seen dressed in white, surrounded by alleged victims and a group of locals. The situation escalated as the crowd became increasingly hostile, with some physically attacking her and even calling the police. One of the victims can be heard exclaiming, “My nose is bleeding. She assaulted me.”

Raveena, in an attempt to defend herself, pleads with onlookers to stop recording and avoid violence. Her desperate plea—“Don’t push. Please don’t hit me”—is met with shouts from the agitated crowd: “Maaro isko (Hit her).”

The Incident and Allegations

According to Mohammed, a resident of Bandra, the incident occurred when his mother, sister, and niece were passing by Raveena’s residence. Allegedly, Raveena’s driver ran over Mohammed’s mother. When they confronted the driver, he responded aggressively, assaulting both Mohammed’s niece and mother. Mohammed also accused Raveena of being in a drunken state during the altercation.

However, the Mumbai Police investigated the matter and clarified that a false complaint had been filed against Raveena Tandon. They reviewed CCTV footage from the society and found that Raveena’s car did not hit anyone. Moreover, she was not intoxicated. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajtilak Roshan of Zone 9 confirmed that the complaint was baseless.

Police Statement

In another screenshot shared by Raveena, the Mumbai Police stated that both parties—the alleged victims and Raveena’s side—denied making any complaints. The police explained that Raveena’s driver was merely reversing the car to park it when three family members felt they might get hit. An argument ensued, but both parties eventually left the scene without filing any formal complaints.

The incident video circulated widely on social media, showing Raveena Tandon struggling amidst the crowd, desperately trying to protect her driver. Despite accusations of drunkenness, the police refuted these claims, emphasizing that no one was injured, and the car did not collide with anyone.
