On May 16, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Bhuj Air Base in Gujarat. During his address, he spoke about serious concerns regarding the International Monetary Fund (IMF) providing money to Pakistan.
Singh expressed worry that the money from the IMF might not be used properly by Pakistan.
"I believe Pakistan will spend a large portion of the funds received from the International Monetary Fund on terror infrastructure in its country," Singh said.
He also urged the IMF to reconsider its decision.
"India wants the IMF to rethink funding to Pakistan," he added.
Singh further claimed that the Pakistani government may use taxpayer money to help a known terrorist.
"Pakistani government will spend the taxes from the citizens to fund the leader of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Masood Azhar with ₹14 crore," he said.
He also reminded people that:
"Despite the fact that he (Azhar) has been named as a terrorist by the United Nations," the Indian defence minister added.
Speaking about India's military efforts, Singh mentioned that India’s actions are not over yet.
"Operation Sindoor is not over yet. Whatever happened was just a trailer. When the right time comes, we will show the full picture to the world," he said.
He ended his speech by praising India's BrahMos missile, saying:
"BrahMos missile showed 'daylight in the darkness of night' to Pakistan."
