As Narendra Modi is set to take the Oath for the Third consecutive term, several South Asian leaders have accepted the invitation to the PM's oath ceremony. Following phone conversations with PM Modi, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe have confirmed their attendance.
Modi is likely to take the oath on 8 June for the historic third term but this time with a coalition government as BJP failed to reach the majority mark.

PM Hasina has officially accepted the invitation to the oath ceremony as communicated by her Deputy Press Secretary, Noorelahi. This symbolizes the strong relationship between the two countries.
Similarly, the Sri Lankan President's office has also confirmed the acceptance of the invitation by President Wickremesinghe, guaranteeing his presence in the ceremony.
Additionally, the Prime Minister of Nepal, the Prime Minister of Mauritius and The King of Bhutan are also likely to be involved in the guest list for the oath ceremony.
According to the sources Modi himself phoned Ranil Wickremesinghe and invited him to the oath ceremony. "During the conversation, Prime Minister @narendramodi invited President Wickremesinghe to his swearing-in ceremony, which President @RW_UNP accepted," the Sri Lankan President's office said.
Modi also had a telephonic conversation with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and both the leaders leaders promised to continue working together to achieve the vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047' and 'Smart Bangladesh 2041', ANI reported.
A formal invitation to the ceremony is expected to be sent to the global leaders by Thursday.
