Dr. Dhaval Gameti, who treated him, said Ramesh had many injuries but was out of danger and could recover. People online are talking about how rare it is for only one person to survive such a big crash. They are calling it unreal, incredible, and a remarkable event.
This man is the sole survivor in the Indian plane crash today that kind approximately 294 people. He was able to stand & walk to the ambulance. When you survive such kind of tragedy just know the creator still wants you to do something big on earth. pic.twitter.com/B3OPcaCrhm

Other similar cases of survivors
There have been similar stories in the past. In 1987, a girl named Cecelia Crocker (then known as Cecelia Cichan) was the only one to survive a plane crash in Michigan, USA, that killed 154 people, including her family. Two others died on the ground.
The plane hit a light pole and crashed into a building, leaving a half-mile trail of wreckage. Investigators found that the crew hadn’t properly set the wing flaps, and a warning system failed to alert them. Crocker, who was just a child at the time, said in a 2013 documentary that she thinks about the crash every day and has scars on her body. She got a small aeroplane tattoo to remind herself of what she survived.
There have been a few other sole survivors over the years. George Lamson Jr., who was 17 in 1985, survived a crash in Reno, Nevada. On hearing about the India crash, he shared that these events never leave you, they change lives forever. Bahia Bakari, a 12-year-old girl, survived a 2009 crash in the Indian Ocean, and Jim Polehinke, the co-pilot of a 2006 flight, was the only person to live through a crash in Kentucky. These rare survival stories continue to amaze and deeply move people around the world.
