A farewell party turned into a heartbreaking event when a man’s wife collapsed and died suddenly at the celebration in Kota, Rajasthan.
Devendra Sandal, a manager at the Central Warehousing Corporation, had planned a celebration to mark his early retirement. He had decided to retire three years earlier than planned to care for his wife, Tina, who had been suffering from heart problems. The couple was seen smiling and enjoying the moment, surrounded by rose petals on the table and garlands. Everything seemed joyful as friends and family gathered for this special occasion.
A sudden collapse
While the celebration was going on, Tina suddenly told her husband, “Mujhe chakkar aa rahe hain (I am feeling dizzy).” Devendra quickly helped her sit down and massaged her back. As concerned friends gathered around, people could be heard asking for water, saying, “Paani la dena, paani (get some water please).”
Sadly, Tina's condition worsened. She tried to smile for the camera, but moments later, she fell face-first onto the table. Despite Devendra’s attempts to support her, she collapsed, and calls for water echoed around the room. “Chakkar aa rahe hain, paani pilao," they cried.
A heartbreaking ending
Tina was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared her dead upon arrival. Her sudden passing left everyone in deep shock. Devendra, who had taken early retirement to care for her, is left devastated by the loss of his beloved wife.
